OceanAlpha Launches Year-Long USV Showcase Across the Middle East

OceanAlpha is set to embark on a groundbreaking year-long showcase of its advanced uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) throughout the Middle East, starting in Doha, Qatar. This initiative aims to engage key sectors, including offshore oil and gas, offshore wind, marine survey companies, maritime enforcement, and fishery management.

Mr. Pinestone Shi, General Manager of OceanAlpha, expressed, “We are extremely excited to introduce our innovative uncrewed marine technology to the Middle East. The region’s thriving maritime market and challenging environments provide the perfect backdrop to showcase the performance of our vessels. Our goal is to engage with industry professionals, address their specific needs, and demonstrate how our USVs can enhance the operational efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability.”

The showcase will feature a range of uncrewed vessels, prominently including the M75 uncrewed patrol vessel, the L25 uncrewed marine survey vessel, the SE40 uncrewed water sampling and monitoring vessel, and the Dolphin 3 intelligent remote-controlled lifebuoy. The M75 will take center stage during the inaugural event, which runs from December 22 to December 31, 2024, at Doha’s nearshore waters. Designed to excel in the demanding conditions typical of offshore oil and gas platforms, the M75 boasts a robust construction and advanced autonomous navigation technology that enables remote operation, reducing both personnel exposure and operational costs.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to see the USVs in action, participate in hands-on trials, and engage with OceanAlpha’s technical team to discuss customized solutions for seabed mapping, pipeline inspection, offshore wind asset management, and maritime security.

Following the launch event in Qatar, the USV showcase will continue through various Gulf countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, with themed exhibitions tailored to user interests and scheduled appointments.
