Doha: The Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2022) will be held from 21 to 23 March 2022, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.
The event will be hosted and organised by the Qatar Armed Forces. Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), Doha will be the venue for DIMDEX.
DIMDEX, founded in 2008, will return under the theme ‘Connecting the World’s Maritime Defence and Security Community’, bringing together key decision makers from around the globe to engage in three days of knowledge exchange in addition to attaining comprehensive access to innovative defence and security technologies in support of domain interoperability.
The seventh edition of DIMDEX, the biennial event for the maritime defence and security industry, is established as one of the leading events that provides multifaceted entities with unlimited opportunities to initiate significant deals and partnerships.
Recognised as the industry’s must-attend event, DIMDEX 2022 will continue its endeavour of being a dynamic platform for international exhibiting companies to present the latest industry trends, technologies and innovative solutions to VIP delegations, government representatives and key decision makers, as part of the main exhibition, while the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC) brings together renowned industry experts and distinguished academia from around the world to discuss the latest industry topics, exchange thoughts and offer modern solutions.
The three-day event will also welcome warships from international navies to Hamad Port where the high-tech vessels will showcase their cutting-edge systems on board.

The Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC), one of the key features of each edition of DIMDEX, brings together renowned academics and industry experts from around the world to discuss the latest regional and international trends in maritime defence and security on strategic and operational level.
MENC will take place on the second day of DIMDEX, on 22 March. The event is open to the public and free of charge, however pre-registration is required.
At DIMDEX, MENC will explore the impact of asymmetric threats on the security complex of the Gulf and its abutting states. Panel discussions will revolve around unconventional challenges in the region’s maritime domain and means of increasing overall resilience.
