Japan Airshow 2021 has been cancelled and next event will be in 2024. The Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies (SJAC) has announced that the next Japan International Aerospace Exhibition will be held in Tokyo in the fall of 2024(Reiwa 6), which is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Self-Defense Forces.
Airshow cancellation is due to the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the venue will be not available for organising the show. Covid 19 is another reason for cancellation since pandemic does not seem to be calmed down and the mitigration of restrictions on the international movement of people remains unclear.
Details of the exhibition schedule, planning, etc. will be examined in the future. Through coordination with related organizations, it will be perfect as the largest comprehensive exhibition on aerospace and defense in Japan and Asia. We will make best effort for preparations to contribute to the development of the aerospace industry, advancement of technology and improvement of people’s lives says the SJAC in a statement.
